On the way from Ragusa to Syracuse we stopped in Scicli (pronounced ‘chickerly’!).
This city is another UNESCO World Heritage Site….with, you guessed it(!) more Baroque architecture.
It was actually quite a nice ancient town, set in a gorge near the coast.
The highlights were the Church of San Matteo, the Church of St. Bartholomew and the traditional piazzas.
