London Lovin'

I love London. It's such a varied, vibrant and exciting city but also so British at the same time. In the past year I've done some fab things to celebrate my fantastic hometown...



Tourist on the Thames

What a great way to see London from a different perspective - whizzing down the Thames on a speedboat, courtesy of Thames RIB Experience.  The hour-long trip from Embankment pier to Canary Wharf takes in all the major tourist sites…

Sky views


Not long after it opened to the public (February 2013), I was fortunately enough to visit London’s tallest building - The Shard.  The Shard is 306metres tall and has unparalleled 360 degree views over the city. The viewing platforms are floor 68, 69 and also an open-air deck on floor 72.


It has a feel similar to the Empire State Building in New York and was fantastic to see the iconic landscape from a different perspective.




  





We were also lucky enough to hear a talk from some of the architect’s team.


There is also a bar and restaurant at The Shard but we’d been for Afternoon Tea on a boat cruising down the thames earlier so didn’t sample their offerings…
