When in Munich...indulgence in some Britishness!

Today the rain continued, but being a Sunday it was time to head out for brunch - a local custom I happily embrace!
Some of my Saturday shopping purchases

I decided to go to to Cafe Reitschule (Riding School) next to the English Gardens. Its next door to the Greek restaurant I went to in the week and also next to the university riding school.

You can even see the riders practising their show-jumping in the riding hall - part of the cafe has views into the hall!  It also has large terraces with views over the English Gardens.

It was packed - all the rooms and seats were full!  You need a reservation to get a table, even by yourself - so I settled down at the bar.

There was a larger (& even English!) menu...

The prompt and courteous staff quickly took my order so I sipped my cappuccino - whilst reading The Metro paper on my iPad, to catch up on my British news!  Check out the cute labelling...

Then my brunch arrived...to cement my 'British' experience, I'd chosen the English breakfast and it didn't disappoint - bacon, lamb sausages, fried eggs and baked beans!

It was, as always, very generous - and tasty!  I polished it all off perusing the paper...a perfect way to spend a wet and cold Sunday.
