Dinner a la Maison

I love Malmaison and for a (nother!) Christmas dinner, we headed there for some festive celebrations. Having battled through the wind and rain to get there, I was delighted to settle into the fire-warmed bar with an intriguing cocktail menu. I opted for a ‘Truth or Dare’ from all the temptations on offer (Belvedere vodka, lemon juice, sugar syrup, fresh lychee, sage leaves and a dash of absinthe):

We settled down to our dinner at our ‘celebration’ table, complete with party poppers!

From our set menu, I opted for:

Hot smoked salmon & heritage beetroot salad with horseradish crème fraiche

Roast cod fillet, lightly curried mussel & saron broth

Iced honeycomb & whiskey parfait, apricot & clementine compote



Before a few more cocktails to see the night through...
